Session 13: Wrap-up and Reflections
Discussion Topics
1) This letter, along with Romans, was at the heart of Luther's Protestant reformation and his doctrine of "justification by faith alone" (sola fide) with a key verse being 2:16. As we have discussed, NT Wright (and many other scholars) believes that Luther was mis-interpreting Paul on this point. Having completed our study of this letter, I'd like to discuss this important theological issue. What do you believe is meant by the traditional Protestant doctrine of "justification by faith alone"
2) Related to number 1 above, when people read Paul talking about "justification" they frequently interpret that as meaning the same thing as "salvation". After this study, how do you understand the meaning of these two terms?
3) I'd like to review and discuss some of the key verses in Galatians and how we understand them after our study:
4) Additional topics that have come up in the course of our study:
5) Lastly, I'd like to hear from each of us our general thoughts on Galatians. What did you get out of it? What surprised you? If you'd studied it before, what new things did you see this time through?

3) I'd like to review and discuss some of the key verses in Galatians and how we understand them after our study:
- Galatians 2:19-20
- Galatians 3:28
- Galatians 4:6

- Galatians 6:14-15
4) Additional topics that have come up in the course of our study:
- What, if anything, can we draw from Galatians that might help us better understand the current conflicts in the Middle East?
- What are the implications of the artificial intelligence (AI) revolution on Christianity?
- Anything else you want to bring up!
5) Lastly, I'd like to hear from each of us our general thoughts on Galatians. What did you get out of it? What surprised you? If you'd studied it before, what new things did you see this time through?
